Emory has been acting (and acting up!) since she was a toddler, and the moment she sat in a director’s chair at the ripe old age of three, she knew that the dramatic arts were calling her name. Emory began her career in the drama club at her elementary school in the third grade and has since performed and directed on collegiate and community levels, as well as in diverse church settings.

Her relationship with Jesus Christ began at a young age and she was called into Christian ministry when she was 15. Knowing the Lord’s calling on her life and the talents He had blessed her with, Emory pursued a degree in Christian Studies at Mississippi College and also earned major hours in Communications/Theatre, graduating in 2003. Since the age of 15 she has participated in 20 shows, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, The Little Foxes, and the one-woman production The Belle of Amherst.

Emory’s experiences in ministry are diverse. She worked with students as a summer intern and had the opportunity to teach drama classes during summer programs. Out of curiosity, she entered the world of radio in 2001 and had so much fun she wondered if she’d really ever need to get a “real” job. In July of 2003, First Baptist Church of Lafayette, LA called Emory to serve as Associate Minister of Media and Creative Arts. There, she learned a little bit of everything from lighting design to broadcasting, and had the wonderful privilege of leading a fantastic creative arts team.

In May of 2005 Emory embarked on her most exciting adventure yet when the Lord led her to begin Dramatic Encounter. She relocated the ministry to Nashville, TN in December of 2005 and the ministry now has a home in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, TN. Following the Lord’s leading, Emory has committed herself to full-time drama ministry and spreading His love to everyone she meets. Her deepest desire is to know Him and make Him known.

Emory currently resides in Franklin, TN and enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, cooking, good music, and catching as many concerts as possible.
